The Temple of Baalshamin in Palmyra, 132 C.E.
There was a large courtyard surrounded with colonnades in the north
and a smaller one in the south in old days.
The later Arab castle can be seen on the distant hill.
The temple stood in front of the Hotel Zenobia
where I stayed two times but blasted in July 2015 by IS.

The Temple of Baalshamin was bombed by I.S. in July 2015.
