The Great Mosque of Djenné in the morning sun, reconstructed in 1907.
It is the largest and most celebrated mosque in Mali,
becoming the model of Malian mosque in modern times to the present day.
When I arrived, the left hand tower had collapsed a week before
due to heavy rain, in spite of it being the dry season.
Such a photo can rarely be seen, being quite precious.
